What you need to get it

Drainage Qualifications.
Relevant drainage qualifications and/or demonstrable industry experience. City & Guilds, Water Industry qualifications, or equivalent. Evidence: Qualification certificates or experience evidence.

Insurance.
Public liability and employer’s liability insurance. Evidence: Insurance certificates.

NADC Application.
Complete the NADC membership application form with company details and references. Evidence: Completed application form and trade references.

Getting it is the easy part. Keeping it means:
Annual Renewal. Renew membership annually.
Is it worth it?
At £400, the question isn’t the fee — it’s whether it wins you work. For drainage engineers it usually does, because it’s the first thing a cautious customer or a commercial buyer checks. Most trades hold accreditations and then hide the logos in the footer. If you’ve paid for it, it belongs where customers actually look.
